The Castilla-La Mancha Room
The Castilla-La Mancha Room is located in the southeast tower of the Alcázar of Toledo. In this room, the regional and local collection and the collection of old funds are stored.
Its impressive shelves are from the 18th century and come from the Archbishop's Library that Cardinal Lorenzana opened in his Palace in 1773 by order of King Carlos III.
They are made of walnut wood and are gilded with gold leaf. The rest of the furniture dates from the 1960s and was made to match the shelves for the Toledo Public Library.
